Kitsune Tea Co. is a US based tea company committed to providing the most authentic Japanese tea naturally grown in Kyoto, the heartland of the Japanese tea tradition. Each one of their premium teas has a gorgeous green hue, wonderful aroma, and pleasant taste that will transport you to the rolling hills of Kyoto, Japan.
A Japanese tale
“Kitsune” is the Japanese word for fox, and it became the name of this tea packaging project out of my interest in Japanese folklore. The story of the kitsune, as told in Japan, involves Inari, the god of prosperity, rice, and tea and how they act as messengers on behalf of Inari in exchange for protection.
Kitsune tea is reminiscent of Japanese forests and traditional Ukiyo-e prints to faithfully portray the ancient tale of the kitsune and its travels through nature.
